A long time talk radio aficionado and ardent supporter of local business and community-oriented events, Lisa Blythe has returned to the airwaves as morning show co-host on 93.5 FM and 1150 AM WNDB, Daytona’s flagship news station.
Originally from Royal Oak, Michigan, Lisa graduated from Appalachian State University with a degree in Communications in 1986. She started working in the broadcasting industry and following stints at radio and television stations in North Wilkesboro, NC and Columbia, SC, she moved to Florida to work in entertainment for the grand opening of the Disney-MGM Studios.
In 1992, Lisa moved into the corporate communications side, working in press and publicity for Disney Development Company and Walt Disney Imagineering. She moved to Daytona Beach and freelanced for several years before joining Benedict Advertising as a copywriter and Director of Public Relations.
In addition to her role on Daytona’s Morning Drive, Lisa also serves as Director of Marketing for Southern Title, Volusia top independent title agency that offers the ultimate closing experience to thousands of Florida property owners every year.
Part of Lisa’s commitment to the greater Daytona Beach community includes active involvement in many local organizations. She is on the board of the Port Orange/South Daytona Rotary Club, the Volusia Building Industry Association, the Women’s Council of Realtors, and she co-chairs the Member Services committee at the Daytona Beach Association of Realtors.
You can hear Lisa every weekday morning along with Dave Laing and Al Smith from 6-9 a.m. on “Daytona’s Morning Drive” on 93.5 FM and 1150 AM. Tune in for a unique blend of guest interviews, entertaining commentary, live phone calls, as well as local news, sports, weather, and traffic.
